1.1274 / C100 (3.6x55x500mm)
1.1274/C100 is an unalloyed carbon steel for the finest cutting edges, the steel achieves a relatively high hardness of 60-62 HRC, easy to machine, suitable for forging. The steel can be ground very sharply with little effort, which is why it is very well suited for fine cutting tools. Due to the lack of alloying elements, the 1.1274 has to be quenched quite quickly in order to develop its full potential, which makes it suitable for the production of blades with a hamon/hardening line.
