1.2235/80CrV2 is a very robust carbon steel for outdoor knives, hunting knives and blades that are exposed to shock loads.
Universally applicable, easy to process, suitable for forging, extremely resilient, edge-holding.
Soft annealed
- C:0.8% Si:0.3% Mn:0.5% Cr:0.5% V:0.15%
- Achievable hardness: ~60 HRC
- Hardening at 840C° in oil
- Temper 2x one hour at 180C°
