1.5634 / 75Ni8 (1,5x40x500mm)

Nickel-alloyed carbon steel, universally usable, very easy to forge, very easy to machine and excellently polishable. Silver component in our damask. For filleting knives and flexible blades.

Composition: C: 0.75% / Ni: 2% / Mn: 0.3%

  • Achievable final hardness: ~60 HRC
  • Heat treatment: Hardening at 820°C in oil
  • Tempering: 180°C for 2x45 minutes
