The free-standing walnut tree, nourished by the fertile soils of the Losensteiner Eisenstrasse, was carefully stored for years and infected with selected fungi in a lengthy process and refined with a lot of patience to create the sought-after mold spots and grains that make each piece of wood unique.
After this natural refinement, the wood was cut into hand-crafted blocks and gently dried.
Impregnated with high-quality synthetic resin in a vacuum process, the blocks are not only completely stabilized, but also resistant to external influences and insensitive to moisture. This finish allows the fascinating grains and unique structures to come into their own and gives the wood an elegant shine.
